A new website has launched alongside Taranaki’s refreshed bus network, Te Pahi Taranaki, giving passengers a clearer and more convenient way to access bus information across the region.
Built by Somar Digital for Taranaki Regional Council, the new website(external link) has been launched to support the rollout of the new network and give passengers a simple and user-friendly way to access bus information. It brings together the tools people need to plan journeys, check real-time bus information, view service alerts, and find the right service with confidence.
The site includes route and timetable information, real-time bus tracking, service alerts, favourites, filtering, customisable timetables, and geolocation to help users find nearby stops. With a mobile-first design, it makes it easier for passengers to find the information they need, whether they are planning ahead or checking details while on the move.
The website also provides the Council with a flexible and efficient platform for managing public transport information, helping ensure service details remain accurate, current, and easy to access.
Taranaki Regional Council Transport Engagement Manager Cheryl Gazley says she is delighted with the new Te Pahi website.
“It looks fantastic and the new functionality will make bus travel in Taranaki more attractive and accessible for our community. In the short time the website has been live we’ve had overwhelmingly positive feedback from users.”
