These are all high profile, high stake clients, where they rely on Somar Digital's unparalleled service to consistently deliver, maintain and support their website assets, providing seamless customer and digital experiences and best practice accessibility standards which are built around a mobile first approach.

As such, we are looking for a very special Business Development Manager to add to our awesome sales team and grow our capability.

What's important to us?

Leveraging your immense connections, your primary focus is to identify, target and win new business opportunities that align with our strategic direction, ensuring that key business objectives are met.

It goes without saying you are a sales superstar, demonstrably and consistently meeting, if not exceeding your quarterly and annual sales targets.

To excel in this role you're super solution-focused and someone with a high care factor to genuinely understand what challenges we are trying to solve for our clients. You also an active listener with a compelling sales personality, and a hunger to chase and close new business.

As the first point of contact, the BDM’s role is to respond to RFP's, RFI’s and tenders on behalf of Somar Digital, collaboratively working with other team members to undertake this process.
Your duties include working closely with other company executives and colleagues, meeting with potential new business partners and maintaining existing client relationships and monitoring market trends to come up with new business opportunities.

Ideally coming from a tech industry background, you’ll have a great work ethic with very much a ‘can do – wanna do’ attitude, with the ability to roll your sleeves up and get things done, to a high standard. Whilst we strongly support a work-life balance, we also want people who are willing to go above and beyond when required.

You are able to think on your feet and find creative solutions. You’ll be accurate and driven but at the same time flexible and nimble. You show genuine care for the welfare of others, especially our clients and their customers.

We’re looking for that special someone with a passion for new technology; someone who has a willingness to delight our customers with their expertise, creativity and communication skills.

Key Role Requirements:

  • A sales superstar, you must be comfortable and confident about hitting revenue targets and goals
  • You must be a highly connected individual, particularly in the NFP and Government Agency space
  • You are solution focused
  • You must be self managing/directing
  • You're a natural leader and positive influencer of people
  • You must have experience of responding to RFP's, RFI’s and tenders, engaging and co-ordinating relevant company expertise to support the response delivery
  • You have a high care factor for your clients and colleagues
